Wastes must be subjected to a certain procedure to eliminate the negative effects of the waste produced. Among the objectives of waste management are; prevention of waste generation, reduction, reuse of waste, segregation and accumulation by type, collection, recycling, recovery, disposal, post-disposal monitoring and inspection activities. Waste management application is done within the framework of a procedure and is called waste management hierarchy. In the waste management hierarchy with six items, the main goal is to leave a livable world to future generations. Other purposes of the regulation are; creating a sustainable environment, conserving natural resources, saving energy and costs, reducing pollution rate and hazardous waste.

It is possible to produce regenerated yarn within the scope of recycling textile wastes in order to minimize the negative environmental impacts of the generated textile wastes and bring them back to the economy. The regenerated yarn produced is used in a wide variety of garment production and usage areas.
Textile wastes are first subjected to the process that produces regenerated fiber, the regenerated fiber produced is transformed into regenerated yarn after various processes, and textile products are obtained from regenerated yarn. Textile products produced from regenerated yarn are used in the same way by consumers and can be subjected to the same process once their lifetime is over.
The evaluation of textile wastes, which have reached a high level in the world, within the scope of waste management has an important place as much as other waste management. There is a need for a holistic evaluation of this issue in our country, and when this need is met;
Second-hand clothing wastes will be collected effectively, the recycling process will be managed systematically and the damage caused by this waste to the environment and economy will be minimized,
The carbon emission and resource use will be reduced by reducing the re-production of second-hand textile products with the reuse method,
Second-hand clothing will be used for humanitarian aid,
Awareness of social aid and environmental awareness will be developed in the society.
